Your writing content is definitely improving in style and in general. This was a good post. As always there is some nugget of value to glean to keep me going in my own journey.
That title alone says a lot. I’ve been on the hiring side and the recruiting side, and the trust gap is real. A lot of it comes from incentives, recruiters get paid to fill a role, not to find you the right one. Worth remembering when you’re job hunting.
And recruiters who work for a company see how the sausage is made. They see in advance when hiring teams decide to move on from someone, how things happen behind the scenes, etc. Recruiters are in your corner as a candidate, but in the end, it's just like any other free service - they're getting paid by someone other than you, so they're going to be loyal to their source of income.
